Hany Choueiri
Chief Data Officer, Bank of England
With over 25 years of experience in data, Hany Choueiri joined the Bank of England as the Chief Data Officer in January 2015 and is leading the strategic ‘One Bank’ Data initiative. Between 2009 and 2014, Hany worked in a variety of roles at HSBC most recently as the GBM Chief Data Officer, Europe & Head of Data Quality Services. Prior to HSBC, Hany worked at Deutsche Bank, Clerical Medical and Ernst & Young where he managed a number of key client data, business intelligence, cash management and risk initiatives. Having been instrumental in pioneering one of the first Data Warehouses, Hany's career has been centered around data and its management. His passion for data is complemented by expertise in the use of process improvement, project & programme management methods such as Six-Sigma and PRINCE2 and their combined application to successful data transformations. A regular speaker in a number of data events and the Bank of England's representative at the LEI Regulatory Oversight Committee, Hany has also been involved in a large number of data centric industry initiatives such as KYC Utilities and the development of Data Maturity Models.
Mark Davies
Managing Director, DTCC, and General Manager, Avox Data Services
Mark Davies joined the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) in 2012 to lead its European efforts around the development of the legal entity identifier, a global initiative created in response to new regulations for reducing systemic risk.
In January 2013, Mr. Davies was appointed General Manager and Head of Avox Data Services, a DTCC subsidiary and specialist provider of legal entity data services to the finance industry. In addition to this, he has a secondary role as the Regional Administrative Manager for DTCC in the EMEA region and is director of a number of DTCC’s international companies.
Formerly, Mr. Davies held senior roles at RBS, managing Group Risk data and Barclays Capital, leading the legal entity reference data team.
Jourik de Lange
Manager Data Analysis, SmartStream
Jourik de Lange, Manager Data Analysis at the Smartstream Reference Data Utility (RDU), has over 15 years of experience working with financial market data. In his current role he works to establish the data architecture and its implementing data strategy for the Utility which includes the design, development and maintenance of data models, guides, procedures and standards. Prior to joining the Smartstream RDU, Mr. de Lange worked as Data Architect at Asset Control. He holds an MSc in Economics and is EFFAS Financial Analyst certified (CEFA).
Steve Goldstein
Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Alacra
Steven Goldstein is Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alacra. Formerly, Mr. Goldstein was Vice President of Strategic Planning for Knight-Ridder's Business Information Services division. In that role he was responsible for Knight-Ridder's acquisition of Technimetrics and its pre-IPO investment in Netscape Communications. Mr. Goldstein previously held a range of sales and marketing positions at Knight-Ridder's Business Information properties. Mr. Goldstein recently completed a three year term on the New York Federal Reserve President's Advisory Council on Small Business and Agriculture. Mr. Goldstein has a BS in English from SUNY Albany and an MBA in Finance from The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He resides in New York City.
Fiona Grierson

Fiona Grierson leads the Data Strategy team within Enterprise Data Management for CYBG, the independent banking group incorporating Clydesdale & Yorkshire Bank brands. Fiona's focus is driving maturity of data management and governance practices within the organisation. Prior to joining the company as a Data Architect in 2013, Fiona led the Data Architecture practice at Standard Life Investments, where she gained over 15 years experience in data projects. Fiona recently graduated with MSc Data Science from University of Dundee.
Neville Homer
Head of RWA Reference Data, RWA & Regulatory Reporting, RBS
Neville Homer joined RBS Group in 2008 and has been managing Legal Entity Reference Data manager within the Global Finance Services Function since Jan 2012. His previous 15 years experience in data management functions has included managing Risk Reference Data also at RBS, prior to that 6 years working on the Central Counterparty Data Master at Barclays Capital.
Igor Lobanov

Igor Lobanov is the Head of Systems Architecture at Legal & General Investment Management, one of Europe's largest institutional asset managers with more than £700bn assets under management. He is responsible for defining technology strategy and leading strategic technology change in the organisation. Igor has been taking an active role in the data management industry over the past years. Igor has 15 years of experience working in enterprise IT predominantly in financial services industry both in the UK and Russia, with background in developing high-throughput transaction processing systems. Igor is a member of International Association of IT Architects (IASA).
JR Lowry
Head of Global Exchange, EMEA, State Street
JR Lowry is the head of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Strategy for State Street Global Exchange, which is a global provider of data and analytics solutions for institutional investors. In this capacity, he is responsible for all of GX’s activities in EMEA as well as strategy, business development, and acquisitions and partnerships. Prior to taking this role, he was GX’s Chief Operating Officer. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences and has been interviewed by numerous media publications, including the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Global Investor, Global Custodian, The Trade, and CNBC. Mr. Lowry has more than 25 years of professional experience across financial services and other industries. Prior to joining State Street in 2010, he held several roles with Fidelity Investments, including leading Fidelity’s corporate transformation effort and serving in several senior leadership roles in Employer Services (FESCo) and Personal and Workplace Investing (PWI). Before joining Fidelity, Mr. Lowry was a partner with the consulting firm McKinsey and Company. He began his career as an officer in the United States Air Force. He received a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Duke University, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Northeastern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. Mr. Lowry is a member of the Board of Overseers for Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Arts and Citizen Schools’ Council of Champions. His prior community involvement includes serving as a Town Meeting member in Lexington, Massachusetts; serving on the Executive Committee of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Boston Chapter; and volunteering as a youth basketball coach. He was also a long-time member of the Pratt School of Engineering Board of Visitors at Duke University.

Chris Pim is currently working in RBS Transaction Management & Operations, Reporting & Data Services Strategy & Optimisation. The team supports R&DS functions: Reference Data, Chief Data Office, Trade & Transaction Reporting, Data Quality, Client Lifecycle Management, and Financial Crime.
Chris's focus is on Client Lifecycle, CDO, Ref Data, and Regulatory reporting providing support around op model, SME knowledge, strategic plans (roadmaps, change) and vendor strategy.
Marc Rubenfeld
Head of Eagle Solutions, EMEA/APAC, Eagle Investment Systems
Marc Rubenfeld has close to 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with specific experience in middle and back office technology. As Head of Eagle Solutions, EMEA/APAC, he is a senior member of the Eagle leadership team who fuels long-term growth by focusing on business development in the EMEA and APAC regions. He is a thought leader who manages a global team that works closely with sales, marketing, product, services, and support to advance new and add-on business opportunities using the Eagle solution set. He drives innovation within Eagle by working with clients and prospects to turn business challenges and opportunities into technology solutions for the marketplace. Previously, Mr. Rubenfeld spent over 10 years on the product side of Eagle and was responsible for overseeing the performance measurement product development team. In this capacity, he managed a global team charged with software design and development functions, product support and quality assurance for the Eagle Performance suite of performance measurement, attribution, and GIPS® composite management solutions. Prior to joining Eagle in 2002, Mr. Rubenfeld was an analyst for a predecessor to JP Morgan Prime Services. In that role, he was responsible for business analysis, leveraging technology to provide insight into that business. Mr. Rubenfeld received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and holds a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement from the CFA Institute.
Peter Warms
Manager of Fixed Income, Entity, Regulatory Content and Symbology, Bloomberg
Peter is responsible for managing Bloomberg's global team efforts in regards to the content and data quality for fixed income, equity and regulatory data. Since 2010, he has also led the firm's efforts in bringing Open Symbology to the financial services industry. Seeing the need in the financial industry for a unifying symbology that could provide unique identification across the asset class silos, Peter championed the efforts within Bloomberg to offer a global solution as a public good and open data standard.
Prior to his current role, Peter was responsible for overseeing business development for Bloomberg Data License, which combines the resources of the Bloomberg Professional Service - the world’s most trusted source of information, analytics, data and news - with end of day and intraday reference, pricing and corporate action data services. Peter joined Bloomberg in 1993 working in the Global Data division primarily focusing on Fixed Income. He has managed Mutual Funds and Corporate Actions functions, and held positions in Product Development and Content Management.
