Mr. Tom Dalglish has been Head of Transformation Services of SmartStream Technologies ltd. since August 28, 2014. Mr. Dalglish has over 20 years of experience in the industry and is a recognised expert in databases, data strategies and reference data. Prior to joining SmartStream, he was the Global Head of transformation for iGATE, where he designed and deployed a major data utility strategy for the firm. Previous to this, he worked for UBS as Chief Technology Officer for Global Data Services running a newly formed enterprise data group. With extensive experience in banking and financial services, he has held senior management roles for enterprise reference data initiatives at Bear Stearns, J.P. Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. His roles have included: Chief Information Architect, Enterprise Reference Data at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Executive Director, Enterprise Reference Data at J.P. Morgan/Bear Stearns.

Prior to joining Clarient Nicky spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs where she was a Managing Director. Her most recent role at Goldman's was as Global Head of Derivatives Operations.

Nicky has over 20 years of financial services experience having worked in various Finance and Operations roles at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley.

She has worked on a number of new business start ups and has a proven track record running large scale global operations teams.

Nicky is a qualified accountant and Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA).

He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communications.

Mark Davies

General Manager, Avox

Mark Davies joined Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) in 2012 to lead its European efforts around the development of the legal entity identifier, a global initiative created in response to new regulations for reducing systemic risk.

In January 2013, in addition to his role at the DTCC, Mark became head of Avox, a DTCC subsidiary and specialist in business entity data management. Formerly, he held senior roles at RBS, managing Group Risk data, and Barclays Capital, leading the legal entity reference data team.

Mark is a member of various industry advisory groups, including the Global Financial Markets Association’s LEI executive steering committee and the Financial Stability Board’s advisory group for LEI.

Adam Devine

VP, Product Marketing, WorkFusion

Adam leads product marketing for WorkFusion, an end-to end platform for optimizing and automating data collection through machine learning. He is responsible for identifying and educating data-intensive industries seeking new ways to radically reduce data operations costs and improve data quality. Adam has 15 years of experience growing businesses through product marketing, including product positioning, market intelligence, messaging and content creation. He began his career in management consulting in BearingPoint’s Banking & Capital Markets practice. Adam speaks frequently about human-machine collaboration, machine learning, and automation at financial industry conferences, including FIMA, FISD, Massolution, MarketTech, NAFIS, NFAIS, and SIIA. Joe Dunphy

VP Product Management, Fenergo

Joe joined Fenergo in 2010 and is responsible for the overall delivery of product strategy and design across the Fenergo suite of applications. With a strong background in regulatory compliance solutions, Joe has deep banking and regulatory knowledge and maintains currency of knowledge in this ever-evolving industry by taking an active lead in Fenergo’s Client Advisory Boards and industry roundtables, as well as participating in industry regulatory forums. Prior to Fenergo, Joe spent four years as Project Manager for Lloyds Banking Group and three years previous working in banking operations for Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Limited. Joe holds a Master’s in Business Studies from University College Dublin, Smurfit School of Business, a postgraduate Diploma in Business Systems Analysis and Bachelor of Commerce degree from National University of Ireland.

Neil Farquhar joined BvD in January 2011 having gained seventeen years’ experience in a number of research and data management roles. Before joining BvD he spent ten years at professional services firm, Deloitte. His last three years at the firm were in managing its research tool portfolio. His role at BvD is to develop and manage its products for compliance, including its new Compliance Catalyst. Neil’s areas of expertise include AML compliance, international business information and the user perspective. He has a degree in Social Policy from the University of Plymouth, and a Diploma in Compliance from the International Compliance Association.

  • Part of the executive team that successfully built CB.Net business and brand, and completed the sale of the company to Accuity in Dec 2008
  • Project Leader delivering the EPC SEPA Register and EBA Priority Payments Repository Projects

Colin Gibson

Global Architecture Director, Willis

Colin is Global Architecture Director of Willis, the global insurance and re-insurance broker, responsible for all aspects of Enterprise Architecture across the group. He is driving work to agree the target-state architecture for Willis’ business processes, data, applications and common technologies and establishing governance to ensure that investment and change initiatives make progress towards that vision. He sponsors key initiatives to establish enterprise-wide reference and transactional data platform critical to Willis’ position as “the analytical broker”.

Prior to joining Willis, Colin was Head of Data Architecture for the Markets division of Royal Bank of Scotland where his achievements included the creation of a central reference repository of information about data in the organisation. He has held senior technology infrastructure, business application development and programme management positions in several major investment banks.

Steven Goldstein is Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alacra. Formerly, Mr. Goldstein was Vice President of Strategic Planning for Knight-Ridder’s Business Information Services division. In that role he was responsible for Knight-Ridder’s acquisition of Technimetrics and its pre-IPO investment in Netscape Communications. Mr. Goldstein previously held a range of sales and marketing positions at Knight-Ridder’s Business Information properties.

Mr. Goldstein recently completed a three year term on the New York Federal Reserve President’s Advisory Council on Small Business and Agriculture.

Mr. Goldstein has a BS in English from SUNY Albany and an MBA in Finance from The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He resides in New York City.

Neville Homer

Head of RWA Reference Data, RWA & Regulatory Reporting, RBS

Neville Homer joined RBS Group in 2008 and has been managing Legal Entity Reference Data manager within the Global Finance Services Function since Jan 2012. His previous 15 years experience in data management functions has included managing Risk Reference Data also at RBS, prior to that 6 years working on the Central Counterparty Data Master at Barclays Capital.

Chris joined HSBC Securities Services in 2006 and is the Head of Product Management, Market Data Services. Chris was previously at Threadneedle Investments where he was Head of Investment Information Services. Before then he was a Director at UBS. Chris started work in the city with Laurie, Milbank stockbrokers, in their futures and options operations team, continuing with Chase Manhattan for a further ten years, culminating in three years as head of the equity derivatives middle office. He also headed OTC derivative client valuations at Bankers Trust. Chris is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

As Director of Data Management Practice, Roy and his team work with clients to develop their data strategy to meet the business demands.

Having over 20 years experience of delivering technology and architecture in the buy side and sell side financial institutions Roy has extensive knowledge of the issues facing these organizations in today’s world of ever changing technology. Over this time, having seen many technologies come and but very few changes in the data financial organizations consume and manufacture, Roy sees the understanding and management of Data as the cornerstone around which organizations can continually rebuild their application portfolio to optimize their business processes to match the expectations of the digital age.

Prior to joining Sapient, Roy was Chief Data Architect for HSBC Global Banking and Markets and prior to that head of Architecture and Infrastructure for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.

Roy has an Ph.D. in Parallel Processing from Brunel University, having graduated from Manchester University, with an M. Phil and B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering.

Dennis Slattery

CEO, EDMWorks

Dennis Slattery has been working in Data Management since 1990. He has held senior positions at project, programme and enterprise level and has successfully delivered data solutions for a wide variety of financial firms. He has seen how effective data management has delivered lower costs and greater flexibility to adapt to changing customer needs and regulatory requirements. He has devised a series of specialised financial data management courses to enable firms to manage data through the key disciplines of data strategy, architecture, design, development, testing, operations and governance. He is working with a consortium of leading global firms to implement financial data certification programmes to provide a development pathway for data professionals.

Following a range of roles in Financial Services starting in 1992, Graham joined the RBS Group in 2009 as COO for Risk Management in Corporate Banking. From 2012, as RBS Chief Data Officer, Graham started to develop the data agenda within RBS. Graham is now using his experience and vision to drive improvements in the way RBS creates, manages and utilises data across the Group.

Neill Vanlint is Head of Global Sales and Client Operations and is responsible for spearheading the company's strategic international growth. Based at GoldenSource’s European headquarters in London, Neill heads up the sales, professional services and account management teams that are responsible for new business development, implementation services and delivering customer care and support.

With over 20 years of experience with GoldenSource, Neill has held a variety of senior management positions including several years as Head of the company's international Professional Services Group prior to leading the sales team. Neill has spent the last 10 years working closely with customers across the US, Asia and Europe.
